Blind Couple Denied Uber Ride, then Dragged with Car
Blind Couple Denied Uber Ride, then Dragged with Car
A blind couple was denied a ride by an Uber driver, who then
got dragged down the street, according to Boston police. Apparently the
reasoning behind the denial was due to Milissa Garside’s seeing service dog.
The driver said no dogs allowed and drove away.
Her boyfriend, who is also legally blind, got his hand
caught in the window as the car drove away and was dragged. Thankfully the man
only had minor injuries that required some stitches. Garside said she met with
detectives and is pursuing charges.
This does not look good at all on Uber’s part. It seems like
every week there is some bad article about this company. Uber is sinking and
sinking fast. In order for this company to get back in shape, they need to
clean up their act and start making the hiring process to become a driver a lot
more difficult.
Uber Social Media Posts:
According to Hootsuite, there are still a lot of negative
posts about Uber. With all of this negativity surrounding the company, it is
hard for them to rebuild their image. In order for them to do so, they need to
increase funding in their Human Recourse department. Hootsuite has shown that a
lot of people have a lot of problems with their Uber drivers. This needs to
stop if the company has any chance of survival.
