Uber CEO Travis Kalanick Power Reduction

Uber has reduced the power, founder and former CEO, Travis Kalanick has.  They are hoping to move past a rough history and they have decided this is the best course of action.  On top of that they are increasing the number of board members from 11 to 17.  This is a large board already, and getting larger.  The changes also pave way for an investment from a Japanese tech conglomerate named Softbank.  All of this is helping Uber prepare for its initial public stock offering coming out in 2019.

All in all this is a huge win for the new CEO Dara Khosrowshahi and he just began a month ago.  He will have spread out power more and secured the largest investment in Ubers history.
