UberMOTO

Image
Uber has introduced a city special for Dhaka Bengladesh.  They have introduced UberMOTO.  Dhaka is one of the busiest cities in the world and motocycles have become a very popular choice of transportation; so Uber has decided it is in their best interest to let people Uber with motorcycles.  Uber already has UberPremium and UberX; however, this new introduction of UberMoto will be very interesting.  Getting a ride on a motorcycle will be a very different ride then getting picked up in a Ford Focus.  We'll see how it goes. Blind Couple Denied Uber Ride, then Dragged with Car

Blind Couple Denied Uber Ride, then Dragged with Car A blind couple was denied a ride by an Uber driver, who then got dragged down the street, according to Boston police. Apparently the reasoning behind the denial was due to Milissa Garside’s seeing service dog. The driver said no dogs allowed and drove away. Her boyfriend, who is also legally blind, got his hand caught in the window as the car drove away and was dragged. Thankfully the man only had minor injuries that required some stitches. Garside said she met with detectives and is pursuing charges. This does not look good at all on Uber’s part. It seems like every week there is some bad article about this company. Uber is sinking and sinking fast. In order for this company to get back in shape, they need to clean up their act and start making the hiring process to become a driver a lot more difficult. www.wcvb.com Uber Social Media Posts: According to Hootsuite, there are still a lot of negative posts ab

NYC Terror Suspect was in Fact an Uber Driver

[Credit to USAToday for photo] Well, if you haven't heard about what happened in NYC, something terrrible happened.  Sayfullo Saipov, the suspect, rented a school bus and drove it on to a walkway and killed 8 people.  This is a very sad event for America.  What makes this even more scary is background checks, while necassary, can be wrong.  Saipov previously drove 1400 trips for Uber and never showed signs of a serious criminal. Uber has responded to this event by saying they have reviewed all of his trips to see if there were any reports of him and they can not find anything related to safety of a customer.  As it would seem, Uber isn't at fault for its background check since Saipove never did anything wrong.  Hopefully, we never see something like this again.
